From an early age I was tutored by my father Jordan Alexieva, the accomplished Bulgarian figurative artist, actor and sculptor. At university I studied print making, computer design and television. For a while I had my own children's show on Bulgarian national television. The experience of living through the fall of communism left me free of convention. This enables me to approach my life and work with a free spirit. Since taking up residence in the UK I have made my living from my work.
My art is inspired by the many changeable moods of the skies and weather of the British and Scottish coast. It has facets of the British character that fascinate me. This contrasts with continental weather of my homeland. It stirs my imagination with it’s drama, peace and serenity.
